Bridesmaids Director Paul Feig May Helm Fourth Female-Centric Comedy

With two hugely successful female-led comedies (Bridesmaids and The Heat) under his belt and a third (Susan Cooper) on the way, Paul Feig is quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most in-demand comedy directors. Now, Deadline is reporting that Feig will produce and possibly direct another female-fronted comedy.

Plot details are being kept under lock and key for now, but the film will feature a screenplay from Melissa Stack, who first pitched the idea to 20th Century Fox. Stack previously penned the script for the upcoming Nick Cassavetes-directed comedy The Other Woman. That film, which stars Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Taylor Kinney, Kate Upton and Nicki Minaj, will focus on a woman who discovers her boyfriend is actually married and plots revenge against him with the help of his wife.

Feig will produce alongside Jessie Henderson under his Feigco banner, which is devoted to making R-rated comedies.
