Joseph Gordon-Levitt Part of David Goyer's Pitch to Adapt 'Sandman'

For awhile there had been discussion and hopes of turning Neil Gaiman's comic Sandman into a series, with the author hoping it would end up at HBO. However, it sounds like some moves are being made to potentially bring the iconic comic book from the author of Coraline and American Gods to the big screen instead. Badass Digest has learned that Man of Steel and The Dark Knight trilogy writer David Goyer just recently pitched a big screen version of Sandman to Warner Bros. and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is involved in some capacity, though it's not clear if he'd take the lead or be involved just as a producer or something. Since Gordon-Levitt recently made his directorial debut, there's a chance he could direct, but we agree with Badass that it's more likely that Gordon-Levitt would star in the film.
