Jennifer Finnigan: 'I have no clue' what makes a hit after 'Monday Mornings'

Jennifer Finnigan anticipates still starting many work weeks on Monday mornings, even if she no longer does it on the show by that name.

The actress has moved on to other projects, including Saturday's (Aug. 17) new Lifetime movie "Baby Sellers," which casts her as an investigator probing a questionable adoption-agency operator (Kirstie Alley). Still, Finnigan laments the end of TNT's "Monday Mornings," the recent medical drama in which she starred with such notables as Alfred Molina and Ving Rhames.

"The ratings were a disappointment," she admits to Zap2it, "but they were building each week, and our audience was extremely loyal. I just think it had so much potential. Cable networks have a history of giving shows with a pedigree a shot, so it surprised me a bit."
