Anne Hathaway, Chloe Grace Moretz & Sam Rockwell to star in dark comedy Laggies

Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables, The Dark Knight Rises), Chloe Grace Moretz (Hugo, Kick-Ass) and Sam Rockwell (Seven Psychopaths) are in negotiations to star in the dark comedy Laggies. Directed by Lynn Shelton (Your Sister's Sister), it tells the story of late-twentysomething Megan (Hathaway) who gets freaked out by her boyfriend’s marriage proposal. She pretends to go on a career retreat but instead hides out for a week with 16-year-old Annika (Moretz).

Rockwell is in talks to play a character called Craig in the film, while Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) could be joining as Megan’s boyfriend. Laggies has been written by Andrea Seigel and will be produced by Steve Golin, Alix Madigan and Rosalie Swedlin for Anonymous Content.

Hathaway can next be heard in the animation Rio 2, which is released in the UK on April 4th. Moretz is starring in Kick-Ass 2 with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jim Carrey,
