Star Trek Into Darkness To Be Released Two Days Early

Star Trek Into Darkness, the upcoming sequel to J.J. Abrams' 2009 reboot, was originally going to be released on June 29th, 2012. Due to various goings-on behind the production, the project was eventually delayed and the date was pushed all the way back to May 17, 2013. It was a lot of extra time to wait, especially for hardcore fans just dying to head back into the world of Star Fleet, but today the wait just got a tiny bit shorter. The recently released Star Trek Into Darkness app promised that it would reveal something special when used while the Super Bowl trailer was playing in the vicinity, and now that end result has been uncovered: Paramount Pictures will now release the new Star Trek movie in theaters two days early, on May 15, 2013, at 8:00pm.
