Scott Free picks up film rights to The Fishing Fleet novel by Anne de Courcy

The Fishing Fleet sets sail with Scott Free Scott Free London has picked up film rights to the book which is set in the late 19th and 20th century and follows woman who traveled to India in search of husbands after many British men had left for India to find work as businessmen, soldiers and administrators during the years the British ruled. The Fishing Fleet is based on real-life unpublished letters, diaries and memoirs collected De Courcy, reports Variety. Liza Marshall, head of Scott Free London, is producing while De Courcy is serving as a consultant on the project.
