Jennifer Garner Joining Matthew McConaughey In AIDS Drama

With Ben Affleck taking over the world thanks to his directing and acting work on Argo, I've been wondering when we could see a similar revival for his wife, Jennifer Garner. The Alias star was pretty much as famous and well-employed as he was when they met on the set of Daredevil in 2004, but in the time that he's spent reinventing himself as a classy director, she's been taking a handful of roles in small, relatively unloved movies ranging from total flops (The Odd Life of Timothy Green, Butter) to blockbusters everyone would choose not to remember (Valentine's Day, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past). The one exception on that list is Juno, the smash indie hit in which Garner turned in a terrific, understated supporting performance as the would-be adoptive mom to Ellen Page's unborn baby. And it's that kind of supporting work that I hope Garner turns in again
