Will 'The Office' Continue Without Steve Carell?
NBC has officially confirmed that Steve Carell will be departing "The Office," but will the show go on without him? NBC Primetime Entertainment President Angela Bromstad confirmed Monday that Carell's job as Dunder Mifflin boss Michael Scott will end after a seven-year run when his contract expires in 2011, according to the Associated Press. "We've been lucky to have had him as long as we've had," says Bromstad. "These things happen when you have such a major movie star in a show." But Bromstad also assures that the hit sitcom will remain in its Thursday night time slot, saying, "Not to diminish the departure of Steve, because that will impact the show, but we have tremendous faith in the writers and actors to keep it alive."
