Ben Affleck Approached to Direct “Justice League”
Christopher Nolan rebuffed the WB to direct and shepherd the big money Justice League to the big screen, and now WB has their sights set on Ben Affleck (Variety). Affleck, of course, is a massive comic book geek who has played Daredevil and resurrected his career by writing and directing The Town and Gone Baby Gone. It’s an awesome and inspired choice, but we don’t know yet if Ben Affleck will take WB up on their offer, and the outlook doesn’t seem bright. If he did take them up on the offer, it’s fair to wonder if he’d be able to resist casting himself in some capacity as a superhero.

WB hopes to have Justice League in theaters around 2015. Affleck is currently bringing Argo to the big screen (October 12th) and is attached to a multi film adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand.
