Today, November 9th marks what would have been scientist and author Carl Sagan‘s 77th Birthday. Sagan was a brilliant man who made science accessible to millions of people with the award-winning 1980 television series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, which he narrated and co-wrote.
I could write “billions upon billions” of words about Sagan’s life, career and accomplishments (just look at his Wikipedia page), the man had an impressive 62 years on our Pale Blue Dot, and nothing I could write would do that justice.
I will say that after all these years, Cosmos is still very inspiring, and if you haven’t seen it in awhile or if you have never seen it at all, I highly recommend picking up a copy on DVD.
