Scott Foley lands 'True Blood' gig, but what about 'Grey's Anatomy'?

It has been an excellent week for Scott Foley fans.

No, J.J. Abrams didn't finally admit that Noel was way better than Ben, though we're still holding out hope for some retroactive closure. (Yeah, "Felicity" ended nine years ago... what? What's your point?)

First of all, Foley joined Twitter. You can follow him at @TheScottFoley, as confirmed by "Felicity" co-star Greg Grunberg. He's still figuring it out, but he did take some time to re-tweet congratulations to Busy Phillips for her Critic's Choice Award for her work on "Cougar Town," which Foley recurred on in its first season.

Now, TVLine reports that Foley will guest star on "True Blood" this season, as Patrick, a "tough and ruggedly attractive" buddy of Terry's (Todd Lowe) from his army days. (Translated into WB-speak: Omg, Noel from "Felicity" and Zack from "Gilmore Girls" are totally friends!!!!!!!!!!!) The role is described as "pivotal." No word
