Four team to make 'Mischief'

LONDON -- FilmFour, the movie development and production arm of broadcaster Channel Four, has teamed up with Company Pictures, Screen Yorkshire and the U.K. Film Council to bankroll Penny Woolcock's Mischief Night, the parties said Monday. The movie, billed as a wild contemporary comedy-drama about two families -- one white, one Asian -- who come together unexpectedly, begins shooting this week on location in Leeds, England. Written and directed by Woolcock (The Principles of Lust), Mischief was developed by Company Pictures and FilmFour with the assistance of U.K. Film Council Development funding and will be produced by Abi Bach and Willow Grylls for Company Pictures ("The Life and Death of Peter Sellers").
