Arrests In Jussie Smollett Attack; Chicago PD Says No Charges, Yet
Breaking: Two persons of interest in the January 29 assault on Jussie Smollett have become a lot more interesting to the Chicago Police.

After being question at length yesterday, Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo are now in custody.

“We can confirm that they have been arrested but they have not been charged,” Chicago PD Pio News Affairs official Sally Born told Deadline today.

At least one of the brothers, who were picked up returning to Chicago at O’Hare International Airport on Thursday, has appeared as an extra on the Windy City filmed Lee Daniels and Danny Strong co-created series.

“Victim” Smollett is “continuing to cooperate” with the investigation, a police source told Deadline, adding that the brothers did know the actor, though how well is unclear at present.

Yesterday: Himesh Patel and Lily James Find Love in a World Where The Beatles Don't Exist

  • Popsugar
It may seem totally sacrilegious to think of a world where The Beatles don't exist, but the rock-and-roll comedy Yesterday (which also seems like it's going to have some romance in the mix) has us reconsidering.

The film's first trailer introduces struggling singer-songwriter Jack Malik (newcomer Himesh Patel), who, after a bike accident that knocks out his front teeth, wakes up in a world where no one remembers the music of The Beatles except for him. When he plays the wistful "Yesterday" for his friends after the accident, they ask him - obviously in awe - when he wrote the beautiful tune, though one of them notes that "it's no Coldplay. It's not 'Fix You'" . . . which is just disrespectful, honestly.

Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams's New Show Explores the Complicated Lives of 2 Icons

  • Popsugar
The new FX miniseries Fosse/Verdon has all the makings for both awards success and theater geek nirvana: with executive producers from stage - Hamilton's Lin-Manuel Miranda and Thomas Kail and Dear Evan Hansen's Steven Levenson - and screen - The Americans' Joel Fields - and starring Sam Rockwell and Michelle Williams, the eight episodes begin airing April 9 and tell the story of Bob Fosse, one of the most acclaimed directors of all time, and his wife, Gwen Verdon, the terrific Tony Award-winning actress and dancer who often gets left out of the story.

This project hopes to rectify that. Speaking to journalists on Feb. 4 at the show's Television Critics Association press day in Pasadena, CA, the stars and creators elaborated on the plot and characters of Fosse/Verdon, which aims to do justice to the true story at its center.

What Is Fosse/Verdon About?

Sparks Fly Between Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron in the Hilarious Trailer For Long Shot
Huh, who would've thought: Seth Rogen and Charlize Theron are the leads we never knew we needed in a romantic comedy.

In their upcoming film Long Shot, Theron plays Charlotte, the secretary of state who's gearing up a campaign to be president, while Rogen stars as Fred Flarsky, a journalist. It just so happens that Charlotte used to babysit Fred when they were younger, and a chance run-in at a party brings them together again as adults. When she hires him as the speechwriter for her campaign? Well, sparks fly.

The film is also bolstered by the comedic presence of Randall Park as Fred's boss, O'Shea Jackson Jr. as Fred's Bff, June Diane Raphael as Charlotte's assistant, and Alexander Skarsgard as . . . well, we don't know yet, but it's safe to assume he'll play some superhot ex of Charlotte's since this is a romantic comedy, after all. Watch the trailer above,

How Princess Diana's Birthplace Carries On Her Good Work to This Day

  • Popsugar
She wasn't born royal, but Diana, Princess of Wales, arrived in a rather regal setting. The princess came into the world in a home built by a future king on the grounds of one of the House of Windsor's most famous residences, and during her early years, the queen was one of her neighbors!

Diana was born at Park House on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The sand-colored Victorian building, with its huge bay windows, is very close to Elizabeth II's home Sandringham House. Park House was built in the 1860s when the queen's great-grandfather, the future Edward VII, settled there, and Diana's birthplace was originally designed to house guests and staff who couldn't fit into the main residence.

In 1961, Park House was being leased by John, Viscount Althorp, and his wife, Frances, who had close links to the royal family. Frances, Viscountess Althorp, had been born at the house in 1936 as her own parents,

The Bachelor Is Leaning Into Tragic Backstories More Than Ever - Here's Why That's Not Ok

The Bachelor Is Leaning Into Tragic Backstories More Than Ever - Here's Why That's Not Ok
When you get down to it, The Bachelor hasn't changed much from the very first season. The show follows a man as he dates about two dozen women. The dates are extravagant, the drama is over-the-top, and the tears are flowing. That being said, longtime watchers of the show may have noticed gradual changes over the years. One in particular sticks out and has been leaving me with an unsettled feeling: the show has a way of using tragic stories as currency. Having a heartbreaking story to share seems to have become a positive on the casting side, as if it gives the producers something to capitalize on.

Before I get into it, this is in no way criticizing the men and women who have shown their bravery by sharing their stories on national television. This is to point out the way production makes having a tragic story a mere check on a Bachelor résumé.
