The Heartwarming Reason Dove Cameron Changed Her Name When She Started Acting
Disney Channel fans are probably already familiar with Dove Cameron's name. The 23-year-old actress and singer first got her start playing twins on Liv and Maddie, and Mal in the Disney Channel original movie Descendants. Since then, she has gone on to have roles on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., in Netflix's Dumplin', and even off-Broadway as Cher in Clueless.

While her name is certainly becoming more recognizable in the industry, what you might not know is that her birth name isn't actually Dove. The actress was born Chloe Celeste Hosterman, but decided to legally change it when she got into acting. She explained the heartbreaking backstory on social media, saying that "Dove" was actually a nickname her dad, Philip Hosterman, used to call her.

"My father passed away a few years ago, right around the time I started acting," she explained in an Instagram post in 2014. "So, I

Noah Centineo Is in Talks to Play He-Man, and We Have Just 1 Question
Everyone's favorite internet boyfriend might be transforming from a boy we've loved before to the legendary He-Man.

Noah Centineo is reportedly in talks to star in Sony Pictures and Mattel Films' reboot of the 1987 film, Masters of the Universe. The Dolph Lundgren and Courteney Cox-led film stemmed from Mattel's toy line, which also spawned the classic '80s animated TV series that aired from 1983 to 1985. For those who aren't as well-versed in the land of Eternia, the franchise follows Prince Adam, the protector of Eternia who transforms into the mighty warrior He-Man with the help of his magical sword. For some reason, the transformation involves shedding his clothes for a harness and speedo, but it was the '80s so we'll let it slide. He-Man's main nemesis, Skeletor, is well-known for becoming the face of various memes, which is probably the only time he's succeeded at anything.

"We have [an] appreciation for where we are in our lives today, and that's what we're enjoying the most," Alex added.

Jennifer and Alex were friends first before they started dating two years ago. On Wednesday, the power couple announced their new sunglasses collaboration with Quay Australia,

Jordan Peele Actually Has a Very Personal Connection to That C.H.U.D. Easter Egg in Us
There are a number of pop culture references in Jordan Peele's Us, but few have as personal a connection as one of the very first the director manages to slip in. (Note: very minor spoilers to follow!)

The very first scene in the film is of an old-school TV playing an ad for the 1986 event Hands Across America. Next to the TV are a few shelves holding VHS tapes, and The Goonies is one of them. But next to it, in a much plainer sleeve, is a copy of C.H.U.D.. If you haven't seen it, the 1984 horror-slash-sci-fi flick from director Douglas Cheek imagines what would happen if a bunch of murderous, humanoid monsters began pouring out of the sewers under New York City to seek revenge on humans.

If you've seen Us, hopefully you understand why Peele decided to include a nod to a film about creatures rising up

Why Aidy Bryant Felt Shrill Was Her Story to Tell, and How It Empowered Her on SNL

By now, you should have had time to watch all of Hulu's Shrill. And maybe even watch it a second time. And maybe a third. It's such a quick watch—six episodes, each under half an hour—that it's massively impressive just how much the show manages to do and address as it tells the story of Annie (Aidy Bryant), an aspiring writer who starts to take a stand against what she's been settling for. She starts off in what we're clearly supposed to see as a sad non-relationship with a guy named Ryan (Luka Jones) who makes her sneak in and out through the back of his house so his roommates don't see her, and she won't even let him see her without a bra on. She's stuck in a low-level...

Why the
Once the credits for Jordan Peele's Us start to roll, you'll likely discover that your head is swirling with countless questions. Without spoiling anything, the ending is bonkers (and decidedly vague). In fact, the only nightmares I think I'm going to have are about all the unanswered questions Peele leaves me with. But fortunately there's one relatively simple question I can answer for us all without needing a Ph.D. in heady themes about free will, fate, identity, and the human being's innate fear of The Other: what does the Bible passage "Jeremiah 11:11" say?

Warning: Spoilers for Us are below!

An Explanation For Who - and What - the
Jordan Peele's second feature film, Us, is horrifying, to be sure. But by the time the credits start to roll, you might find yourself a little bit . . . confused, shall we say. Between all of the complex layers, hidden meanings, and creepy scares that are introduced over the course of the horror film, there is a lot to unpack. Who are the Tethered? And what do they want? Where did they come from? Put on your red jumpsuit and strap in, because we're breaking it all down ahead.

Warning: Big spoilers for Us will follow! You've been warned.

Once You've Mentally Recovered From Us, Find Out Why Josh Looked So Familiar
The reviews are in, and Us officially lives up to the hype. In fact, Jordan Peele's new horror film, starring Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong'o, Elisabeth Moss, and Tim Heidecker, currently has a 94 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Now that we've invested in a ginormous nightlight (a floor lamp from Target that we plan to leave on at all times), we've been doing a deep dive on our new favorite horror cast ensemble. We knew Heidecker, the actor who plays Josh Tyler/Tex, looked familiar, but when we realized we knew him as one half of Tim & Eric, we couldn't believe it. It turns out the actor-writer-comedian-director-musician is quite the chameleon, and his past work speaks for itself.

Heidecker got his start when he teamed up with Eric Wareheim to create, write, and star in the animated series Tom Goes to the Mayor, which aired on Adult Swim from 2004 to 2006. The
