Portia de Rossi Wants Ellen DeGeneres to Quit Daytime TV
Ellen DeGeneres is considering quitting her NBC daytime talker, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” and branching out because her wife, Portia de Rossi, thinks the comedian has “other things she could tackle.”

“I just think she’s such a brilliant actress and standup that it doesn’t have to be this talk show for her creativity,” de Rossi said in a DeGeneres-centric interview with the New York Times published Wednesday, ahead of the release of her wife’s first standup special in 15 years.

De Rossi says the Netflix comedy event, titled “Relatable” — marketed as a tongue-in-cheek takedown of the comedian’s approachable image — shows DeGeneres is “just a bit more complicated than she appears on the show,” adding, “There’s more range of emotion.”

A Quick Refresher on Miriam and Joel's Relationship Status in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

A Quick Refresher on Miriam and Joel's Relationship Status in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Warning: spoilers for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel seasons one and two ahead!

One of the most compelling aspects of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's first season is seeing a woman who miraculously has it "all" - a husband, two adorable kids, a comfortable lifestyle, a stunning apartment - fall to pieces so completely and then put herself back together again with a vengeance. The woman at the heart of the story is of course Miriam "Midge" Maisel, played with vigor by Rachel Brosnahan, who discovers that her college sweetheart and current husband, Joel, is leaving her for his secretary. Talk about a cliché, right?

Whether or not you've seen the first season, you likely know that Amy Sherman-Palladino's Amazon dramedy is anything but cliché. Unlike the fast-talking heroines of her WB hit, Gilmore Girls, Sherman-Palladino is free to let Midge's mouth run at a million miles a minute, unencumbered by network censorship.

Watch Jason Momoa Lead an Epic Haka Dance at the Aquaman Premiere
Fans know Jason Momoa can act, but did they know he can also dance? The actor surprised everyone at the Hollywood premiere of Aquaman on Wednesday by performing a haka—a traditional dance in Māori culture. The epic moment occurred after the DC star walked the carpet with his wife, Lisa Bonet, and their children, Lola and Nakoa-Wolf. He then grabbed his trident, stripped off his black jacket (showing off his physique) and summoned his fellow dancers to join him. Momoa seemed to put his heart and soul into each of the moves and the chant. Even his kids joined in on the fun as did his co-star Temuera Morrison, who plays his father in the film. At one point, Momoa smashed his trident over his knee, breaking it...

  • Popsugar
Netflix giveth, and Netflix taketh away.

In the midst of celebrating all the exciting new additions heading to the streaming giant in January - Incredibles 2, A Series of Unfortunate Events season 3, all the Indiana Jones movies, among others - we came to the startling realization that a ton of episodes of Law & Order: Svu will be disappearing from the TV selection next month. Mary Poppins Returns star, musical genius, and all-around gem Lin-Manuel Miranda took to the streets of New York City to scream at people with Billy Eichner, and it might be the best thing we've watched all week.

In the latest episode of Funny or Die's Billy on the Street, the pair encounter a number of individuals who break down into near-tears as soon as they lay eyes on the Hamilton creator, with one woman even taking off her headphones to reveal she happens to be listening to one of Miranda's songs right then and there. But, of course, squeezed into all the heartwarming moments are hilarious interactions in which no one knows who he is.

BrightBurn's Trailer Introduces a Supervillain Origin Story With a Horrifying Twist

BrightBurn's Trailer Introduces a Supervillain Origin Story With a Horrifying Twist
Imagine, for a moment, that Superman didn't grow up to be the kind, self-sacrificing superhero we all know and love. What if, instead, he put on his red cape and a creepy-as-f*ck mask and began using his unusual, superhuman abilities for evil? Like, murdering unsuspecting diner waitresses and truckers, perhaps? That's essentially the plot for James Gunn's upcoming horror movie Brightburn, and we have to say that we're intrigued.

The film stars Elizabeth Banks as a woman who seems to get a gift straight from god when a baby from another planet crash-lands on her farm. Unfortunately, as the years go by and her adopted son grows up, his true nature proves to be far more sinister than she or her husband (David Denman) could have ever imagined. What's worse? No one alive seems to be able to match his power. If that sounds sufficiently creepy enough for you,

This "Baby, It's Cold Outside" Cover Is Going Viral For Its Questionable Lyrics About Consent

This
The lyrics of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" just got a questionable makeover.

Over the last few years, "Baby, It's Cold Outside" has gone from being that cutesy duet you probably first heard in Elf to a song banned by radio stations over the holidays. The tune, which was written by Frank Loesser and popularized in the 1949 film Neptune's Daughter, has left fans feeling more and more uncomfortable due to its suggestive lyrics, which have led many to wonder if they describe an instance of date rape.

In a scene where a male character is trying to keep a woman from leaving, she sings "My answer is no," before he responds that she can't possibly leave because of the heavy snow. "What's the sense of hurting my pride?" he asks as she tries to leave again, before she eventually exclaims, "Say, what's in this drink?" It's that line in particular that

If You Thought Infinity War Was Long, Just Wait Until You See Avengers: Endgame
Now that we have an official trailer, poster, and release date for Avengers: Endgame, it's time to start preparing ourselves for the mental and emotional stress the movie is going to put us through. Avengers: Infinity War was already a roller coaster, but considering everything we're expecting to happen in the epic fourth Avengers installment, it's going to take a while for us to recover. And because Marvel is so relentless in their endeavor to completely wreck us, Avengers: Endgame might be the longest running Marvel Studios movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film was still going through the editing process as of Nov. 8 with a runtime of three hours. If that sticks, it'll take the crown - or gauntlet - as the lengthiest Marvel movie. The film that currently holds the title is Infinity War, which runs for two hours and 36 minutes. We know that are a lot
