Brody Stevens, a well-known comic in the Los Angeles comedy community, died on Friday at the age of 48, his rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. 

According to Fox News, the cause of death was an apparent suicide. 

Stevens was known for his positive and high-energy sets, and warm-up acts for shows around the city, including Chelsea Lately and Chris Hardwick's @midnight. As an actor, he appeared in The Hangover, Due Date and Nick Kroll's Kroll Show. He also toplined a Comedy Central series in 2013 called Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!

Clark Gable‘s grandson, Clark James Gable, was found dead on Friday morning. He was 30.

The actor, who was also known as Clark Gable III, was found unresponsive, according to his sister Kayley Gable on Facebook.

“My brother was found unresponsive this morning by his fiancé and didn’t wake up,” she wrote. “I Love You Clarkie I’m so sorry we couldn’t save you my heart is broken and shattered Rip.”

His mother, Tracy Yarro Scheff, also confirmed the news on Instagram, writing, “It’s is with an extremely heavy heart we say goodbye to my beautiful son Clark.

Update, 8:45 Pm: R. Kelly has voluntarily surrendered and is confirmed to be in policy custody in Cook County, Ill, according to a police spokesman. A bond hearing will be held on Saturday afternoon.

Kelly faces several counts, all Class 2 felonies in Illinois, and a probational offense that carries a potential sentence of three to seven years.

Robert Kelly is in police custody, and Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx said in a news conference today that the singer is expected to appear in count Saturday afternoon for a bond hearing.

Amy Schumer is cancelling her comedy tour due to pregnancy complications.

Schumer, 37, revealed the news on Instagram Friday, explaining it was due to hyperemesis gravidarum — a form of acute morning sickness that the actress has been battling throughout her pregnancy.

Schumer announced in October that she and her husband Chris Fischer are expecting their first child.

“Due to complications from hyperemesis I am not cleared to fly for the next couple of weeks I am going to cancel the remainder of my tour. Refunds are available at point of purchase,” the I Feel Pretty star wrote.

After months of speculation, we finally have a better idea of what Annette Bening's character in Captain Marvel, Supreme Intelligence, is all about.

Now that the March 8 premiere of the '90s-set superhero film is nearly here and rumors about her character are at an all-time high, Bening finally opened up about her role opposite Brie Larson's Carol Danvers (aka the titular Captain Marvel) while chatting with Stephen Colbert on Thursday night, as well as showing off a clip of Supreme Intelligence in action. According to the 20th Century Women actress, the character is "a god-like entity" who was originally a supercomputer in the comics but now has a human counterpart.

"[She's] the leader of the Kree people, the artificial intelligence which consists of the greatest intellects of the Kree people for the last million years," she explained, before introducing the clip featuring her debriefing Captain Marvel about fighting the Skrulls.

R. Kelly is turning himself in to the authorities, nearly seven hours after being charged with sexual abuse. The singer-songwriter was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Illinois' Cook County on Friday afternoon. Biopics are all the rage right now, and the latest to enter the fray is Rocketman. The Elton John retrospective stars Taron Egerton and chronicles the legendary icon's meteoric rise to stardom. The 43-year-old Oscar winner attended the New York City premiere of friend Prune Nourry’s documentary Serendipity with her children, Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, and Shiloh, 12.

Michael Jackson‘s estate has filed a lawsuit against HBO over the planned broadcast of the bombshell documentary Leaving Neverland.

Two co-executors of Jackson’s estate and Optimum Productions are suing the network and its parent company, Time Warner, for $100 million, claiming that airing the two-part film — which centers on the late pop star’s alleged sexual abuse of minors — will violate a non-disparagement clause, according to court documents obtained by People.

In the suit, the estate claim the film violates a clause in a 1992 contract, written up ahead of a televised concert that year — in which HBO agreed to not speak ill of Jackson.

Candice Patton has developed a strong fan base for her role as Iris West-Allen on The Flash, but she's also had to deal with a fair amount of haters. Since getting cast as Iris, the actress has dealt with a ton of unwarranted harassment for portraying a character who was white in the comics. Comedian and Hangover actor Brody Stevens has died. He was 48.

Stevens, who was born Steven James Brody, died in Los Angeles on Friday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His cause of death was reported as an apparent suicide, according to The Blast, who obtained a 911 call to his home.

A rep for Stevens did not immediately respond to People’s request for comment.

Stevens appeared as Officer Foltz in the 2009 comedy The Hangover. He was also in The Hangover Part II as Kingsley Guy, which was his last feature-length film.
