Yin Lu is a London-based music producer and composer for screen and live performances.
Yin's musical journey has earned him prestigious accolades, including an Honorary Mention at the 2020 European Talent Awards and membership in the BAFTA Connect Programme. Driven by a profound love for blending intricate classical and Eastern minimalist styles with contemporary electronics, he studied at the Royal College of Music on the Composition for Screen masters course, and graduated with a first class degree in 2020. Notably, his screen music garnered praise from Oscar-winning composer Stephen Warbeck. In 2021, he received the endorsement of the Arts Council England for Global Talent, thanks to the recommendation of Oscar-nominated composers Gary Yershon and the Director of the RCM, Colin Lawson.
Yin has composed music for multicultural feature films, documentaries, shorts, and animated films featured in Soundtrack Cologne, Encounters Film Festival, the Hong Kong Film Awards, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film, the Global Music Awards, and more. He also worked with Japanese and Korean video game developers, including SNK and Eyedentity Games.
His screen music has been published by the New World Classic label and featured on the Instant Music Licensing platform. Additionally, his music for visual arts has graced renowned venues and events such as Tate Modern, the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, and concerts at the Royal Academy of Arts in celebration of its 250th Anniversary.
