Alexander Klebanoff (born December 22, 1982) is a film producer, actor, and entrepreneur. Klebanoff is founder of Hirschhorn Klebanoff Entertainment, his film development, production and entertainment company based in New York City established in August, 2020. Klebanoff is founder of Linked Media, his
post-production services, art department services, marketing and promotions company established in August, 2020. He has since released "The Decipio" directed by Jason Gullifer starring Klebanoff, Deon Williams, and Sandy Mölling. The film won a total of 42 Awards and received 18 Award nominations, for which Klebanoff won thirty-four Awards, and has been nominated for eleven Awards. He gained recognition from the juries of film festivals across the United States, Canada, and Europe on the competitive festival circuit.
From the full list of thirty-four Awards he won the "Remi Award" for "Best Suspense and Thriller" at Canadian Screen Awards Qualifying 55th Annual WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival which is the oldest independent film festival in the world. Past recipients of the "Remi Award" include Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, Ridley Scott, David Lynch, Oliver Stone, Ang Lee, Akira Kurosawa, and Robert Rodriguez. He won "Best Producer" and "Best Acting Ensemble" at Rome International Movie Awards. In the U.S. in the southeast in Atlanta, Georgia, the theatrical version of "The Decipio" premiered at the 17th Annual Academy Award Qualifying Peachtree Village International Film Festival (PVIFF) in 2022 chosen by the jury out of 5,000 submissions. Meanwhile, Klebanoff is writing a thriller, mystery, and crime original screenplay for a feature titled "The Disintegration Game" - a story about estranged partners who must team up together to discover what is reality and what is not reality within a thriller ride mysterious 'game'. In 2017, he began acting training for the first time in life coached by teacher Stan Roth in the Bay Area in California. Leonardo DiCaprio was a student. In 2018, he moved to Los Angeles to begin his career.
He has a former career in the commercial art world, the fine art industry, within all of the major areas in the business side in Manhattan, New York City, NY. In 2004, he worked for Elizabeth Szancer Kujawski, the curator and consultant for Ronald Lauder at the time. He assisted with management of the collection of art of Ronald Lauder known as: "The Ronald S. Lauder Collection". He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Bard College in New York. In 2006, he was hired by then President Pierre Levai of leading global art gallery Marlborough Gallery. Pierre authorized Klebanoff and his colleague Eric Gleason to discover emerging and mid-career artists for representation by Marlborough in advance of the opening of their second space in the Chelsea neighborhood in Manhattan. He managed several of the visual artists, and was involved in client relations, and sales of artworks. In 2008, he worked at Christie's auction house within the Post-War and Contemporary Art Specialist Department. In 2009, he founded Alexander Klebanoff Associates, and in 2010 Hirschhorn Klebanoff Arts, both of which he independently operated. The business strategy was leading tours inside of various art galleries in the Chelsea neighborhood in Manhattan comprised of individuals interested in learning more about contemporary artwork. He provided an in-depth insider's understanding of the power players and infrastructure of the fine art industry, in addition to consultation services. The topics discussed included an understanding of the sales of artwork sold at auction houses, the global marketplace in the fine art industry, and the roles of gallerists, art dealers, art advisors, private and public collectors of artwork as well as identifying key emerging visual artists. Today, he utilizes his business acumen both as a film producer, and as an actor.
He is of Jewish, Russian and Polish ancestry. He is the son of Arthur M. Klebanoff, a literary agent, publishing executive, and founder of Rodin Books, and Susan B. Hirschhorn, a development consultant and founding Executive Director of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation with BCRF founder Evelyn Lauder.
