Sahney said he would be meeting Jay Shah, Bcci Secretary, who is also representing India on the Icc Board to request him to include Mohali as one of the venues for cricket World Cup.
He expressed his concerns that 10 venues have been chosen such as Hyderabad, Ahmadabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Kolkata, leaving major venue like Mohali where pitch and outfield rating is stated as “very good” by Icc Grading chart.
Sahney said the cricket stadium at Mohali has excellent infrastructure and better facilities than some of the stadiums scheduled for world cup matches.
Mohali has also an international airport and many five star hotels and excellent infrastructure to host World Cup matches.

Mumbai, April 6 (Ians) The Board of Control for Cricket in India (Bcci) expresses its profound grief at the sad demise of Sudhir Naik. The former India opener passed away in Mumbai on Wednesday.
Naik, 78, played three Tests and two ODIs for India. It was Naik, who hit the first four for India in ODIs in England in 1974 at Headingley, Leeds.
A Mumbai stalwart who donned different hats and carried out various responsibilities, Naik, famously led a depleted Mumbai to Ranji Trophy triumph in 1971 when the likes of Sunil Gavaskar, Ajit Wadekar, Dilip Sardesai and Ashok Mankad were creating history in the Caribbean. He played 85 first-class games and scored 4376 runs, including a top score of 200 not out.
Post his playing days, Naik played an ever-bigger role in Mumbai. Managing the affairs of the National Cricket Club, he was instrumental in shaping and nurturing the careers of Zaheer Khan, Wasim Jaffer and Nilesh Kulkarni,...

Amongst the sea of fans who had worn shirts with jersey numbers of Hardik Pandya, Shubman Gill and David Warner, there were cricket enthusiasts who wore shirts donning number 17 and were excitedly chatting among themselves during the metro ride on a chance to have a glimpse of Pant while watching the game.
Shyam Sharma, the Ddca Director, believed that coming to the stadium for the first time after surviving a horrific car accident last year, did a whole lot of good for Pant.
"He himself felt very good. He also walked by himself from gate number seven till inside and even climbed the stairs too. He was also feeling that it would be a good exercise and his confidence increased too," Sharma told Ians.
"From his point of view, it was great as he was at home for so many days. He also went to the dressing room, where he met players and teams.
