Donovan Stender is an actor born in Australia who grew up with a love of cinema, especially the classic comedies of the Marx Brothers and Chaplin; the films noir of Billy Wilder; the suspense mysteries and psychological thrillers of Hitchcock; as well as the more contemporary surrealistic movies produced by A24. He's inspired by the work of Cate Blanchett, Steve Carrell, Colin Farrell, Cary Grant, Seth Rogen, Melissa McCarthy, Daniel Radcliffe, Paul Rudd and Angus Sampson to name but a few, though admits to being enthused by most forms of performance art. Donovan is known for the comedic feature 'High Rollers' (2019); the sci-fi franchise 'Occupation' (2018) and 'Occupation Rainfall' (2020); the family-friendly adventure series 'Rock Island Mysteries' (2024) and the Stan original dramatic mystery series, 'Black Snow' (2025).
