Alexandr Borecky

An award winning director, actor and screenwriter Alexandr Borecky, based in Prague is starting to make his way to the industry despite his family's non-artistic background. His debut as a director and producer can be seen in his short film Origin (2021), with which he has won several awards and now follows up with another project Untold Pieces (2023) which is being recognized by festivals all around the world.

Alexandr Borecky was born on July 8th, 1993, in Valtice, Czech Republic and raised in Prague, where he is working on several projects as actor, writer and director. He first encountered acting during drama classes in high school. In 2017, Borecky took a significant step in his artistic development by studying acting in Los Angeles. This experience allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of the craft, enhancing his ability to create compelling narratives on screen. Inspired by the dynamic film landscape of Hollywood, Borecky returned to Prague with newfound knowledge and a burning desire to make his mark as a filmmaker.

In 2021, Borecky released Origin (2021) a short film that explores the depths of human relationships. With its mesmerizing visuals and evocative storytelling, the film delves into themes of identity, purpose, and the profound mysteries that shape our lives. "Origin" has been part of festivals worldwide.

Continuing his creative journey, Borecky released Untold Pieces (2023) in 2023. This short film weaves together disparate narratives to create a powerful tapestry of emotion and connection. Its storytelling has caught an eye of more renowned festivals which has led to several nominations, wins and screening worldwide, further establishing Borecky passion for the craft and moving up the industry ladder.
