Tamar Jatchvadze was born in the Republic of Georgia. She Graduated from A. VIrsaladze Art Academy where she learned acting, ballet, folk dance, voice. She got accepted into Tbilisi State University on full scholarship, where she studied TV-Radio Journalism for a year. Tamar moved to the US all by herself, at a very young age, to pursue her dreams.
Tamar graduated from American Academy of Dramatic Arts (NYC) with a diploma in acting. As one of her passions, she has worked as a freelance makeup artist on plays produced at the school as well as in Georgian Theater in NYC, where she also performed. Tamar was on stage from the age of 4 till 16 almost daily. Her true passion is performing arts and filmmaking. From a very young age she has written poems, essays, and articles that have won praise from teachers and professors, in both Georgia and the US. She has also written five songs (music and lyrics).
In 2016, Tamar took screenwriting classes at Jacob Krueger's Studio. She is involved in a Pro-track program there, honing her skills working on a Feature Screenplay. Her short film, The Onion Boy, will mark her debut as screenwriter and director.
