Ashley Gilmour is a Brazilian-Canadian editor based in Toronto.
She won a 2024 Canadian Screen Award (Best Picture Editing, Documentary) for the episode "Haven, But No Heaven" of Black Life: Untold Stories (2023), a CBC docuseries that premiered at TIFF. The short film I Remember the Footprints in the Snow (2021) won the Outstanding Short Film Award at Reelworld, and Faraway (2020) received the Best of the Year Award as a Vimeo Staff Pick. The CBC documentary Kosher Love (2017) was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award (Best Documentary Program).
She is an alumnus of the Editors' Lab at the Canadian Film Centre and of the Doc Accelerator Program at the Hot Docs Film Festival.
