Euphegenia Doubtfire is back, and ready for her big Broadway bow.

On Monday, producers for the new stage adaptation of the 1993 comedy Mrs. Doubtfire showed a full look at star Rob McClure in costume as Robin Williams’ beloved character.

The big reveal, in honor of the musical’s first preview on Broadway, is the first fans have been able to see of McClure’s take on the super nanny. While other promos filmed McClure from the back, these new shots capture the prosthetic mask, wig, and accessories used to transform McClure.

New Mrs. Doubtfire Arrives in First Look at Broadway Musical
The classic Robin Williams comedy movie Mrs. Doubtfire has been remade as a musical set to open soon on Broadway, and we now have our first look at star Rob McClure as the new Daniel Hillard - a.k.a. Euphegenia Doubtfire. In the photos, we can see exactly how McClure will look on the stage as the divorced father who disguises himself as an elderly nanny to spend time with his children. From the blonde wig to the pearl earrings, McClure looks a lot like Williams' take on the character in the original movie, which you can take a look at in the tweet below.

‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Musical Headed to Broadway
A new musical based on the 1993 Robin Williams classic, Mrs. Doubtfire, will premiere on Broadway in the spring of 2020.

The plot of the new musical will be fairly similar to the original movie, in which Williams played an out-of-work actor who loses custody of his kids in a divorce and decides to disguise himself as a Scottish nanny in order to stay close to his children.

Tony nominee Rob McClure will star as Daniel/Mrs. Doubtfire, Jenn Gambatese will play his ex-wife Miranda Hillard and Analise Scarpaci, Jake Ryan Flynn

‘Mrs. Doubtfire’ Musical Sets Date For Broadway, Announces Cast

Mrs. Doubtfire has a sure date with Broadway and, as rumored, she’ll be arriving with Beetlejuice‘s Rob McClure in the title role, producers announced this morning.

The musical, directed by Jerry Zaks and based on the 1993 Robin Williams hit movie, will begin previews March 9, 2020, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, with an opening night set for Sunday, April 5..

The previously announced staging, produced by Kevin McCollum – a multiple Tony winner with credits including Avenue Q, Rent and In The Heights) – features a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, with music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick.
