Jeffrey David Kraus, known by his set name as "JD", was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. He began his film career as a set PA on the feature film Miles Ahead, starring Don Cheadle. Since then, he has worked on numerous sets and TV shows, including: Blue, House Hunters, American Idol, Point Blank, and Long Lost Family. He got his first break as an editor on the documentary short "Black Girl Magic." He has continued to work on independent films as an assistant editor, editor, colorist, and sound editor. He resides in Northeast Ohio.
