Mini Bio (1)

Born in 2007 in Vancouver, Canada, to a Scottish-Canadian father and Japanese mother, Koyu is bilingual in both Japanese and English. He enjoys playing soccer and drums and when not in school loves going to Japan.

Koyu can be heard voicing the character of Atari Kobayashi in Wes Anderson's stop-motion animation film, "Isle of Dogs", which is Koyu's first role in a film. The film opened the 68th Berlin International Film Festival on February 15, 2018, which Koyu attended with Anderson and all the other amazing voice cast. The film was released in the US on March 23, 2018, and in Japan on May 25, 2018. Koyu attended both premiers and successfully completed the press junkets in both English and Japanese.

He has acted in a local short film and appeared in a music video as well as a commercial for Toyota for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
