The Witcher Season 5: Liam Hemsworth's Geralt Stuns in Set Photos from Final Season
Image
Liam Hemsworth is back as Geralt of Rivia in new set photos for The Witcher's fifth and final season. The new photos come roughly three years after the actor was cast to succeed Henry Cavill as the fan-favorite fantasy character.

Shared by Redanian Intelligence, the new set photos show Hemsworth striking a pose as Geralt in a break between filming on the hit Netflix series, as well as chatting with his stunt double. The images also feature the best look yet at The Matrix and John Wick alum Laurence Fishburne as barber-surgeon/vampire Regis, a beloved character from the novels and The Witcher III: The Wild Hunt’s acclaimed Blood and Wine expansion. Filming on The Witcher Season 5 has been underway since mid-March 2025, with production currently taking place in England after beginning in Cape Town, South Africa.

Image
The production of The Witcher Season 5 is rolling with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia. While we are still waiting on the fourth season of the series, which will bring forth Hemsworth as the titular character, the fifth season will mark the final installment of the long-running series. Despite Henry Cavill’s shocking departure from the fan-favorite role, many fans are intrigued to see the Hunger Games star’s turn as the iconic character. Some new set images show him fittingly transforming into Geralt.

The new images and there are a lot of them sees Hemsworth in full costume and long blonde hair, complete with Geralt’s sword Aerondight at his back. While some other images show him going up against a bunch of men, along with his own group. The Witcher Season 5 Set Photos Reveal Best Look Yet At Liam Hemsworth's Geralt
Image
When life gives you lemons, just grab the nearest Hemsworth brother and make some lemonade. Much has been made of the big recasting for Netflix's long-running video game adaptation "The Witcher," swapping out Henry Cavill for Liam Hemsworth as our newest take on the title character. That change will finally be seen on the small screen once the fourth season finally arrives sometime in 2025, ending a lengthy hiatus after season 3 came to a close in July of 2023. Filming on season 4 is complete as the creative team remains in post production on the series, meaning fans are that much closer to finally getting a proper look at the "The Hunger Games" and "The Land of Bad" actor fully suited up in that distinctive fantasy wig. But while Netflix continues to keep Hemsworth's highly-anticipated appearance as Geralt of Rivia in actual footage under wraps, barring a brief first look well over a year ago,...

The Witcher Season 4’s Unforgiving Storyline Could Set Up Liam Hemsworth For Failure After Henry Cavill Exit
Image
Henry Cavill made his mark on nerd culture with his portrayals of Superman and The Witcher. Geralt of Rivia, as played by the Man of Steel alum on Netflix’s The Witcher, managed to become one of the most well-received characters from the streaming giant, even when the show failed to be narratively satisfying.

Henry Cavill \\ The Witcher || Credit: Netflix

However, the show was also well carried by the other protagonists in the fold, such as Anya Chalotra’s Yennefer and Freya Allan’s Cirilla. The Witcher has a problem where it likes to split its characters throughout the show, depriving the show of some of its high points. This seems to be a trend that will carry over in Season 4 and is further compounded by the fact that Geralt will now be played by Liam Hemsworth.

The Witcher needs to keep its protagonists together Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya...

The Witcher star Laurence Fishburne advises fans to "be patient" waiting for final season
Image
We may still be reeling from the season finale of The Wheel of Time, but don't worry, there's plenty more good fantasy television on the way this year. One of the biggest fantasy shows still to come down the pike in 2025 is The Witcher, which will be releasing its fourth season on Netflix. We don't have an exact release date yet, but unless there's a serious shake-up at Netflix, it will come sometime between now and December 31.

This is an important season for the series, since it will be the first time that the white-haired witcher Geralt of Rivia is played by Liam Hemsworth, after previous Geralt actor Henry Cavill stepped down following season 3. Changing a lead actor is always a challenge, and doubly so when they're as central to the series as Cavill's Geralt. Can The Witcher survive this change?

We shall see. Beyond Hemsworth's Geralt, The Witcher...

Proof ‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 Will Heal The Wounds Henry Cavill’s ‘The Witcher’ Left on Fans
Image
Let’s be honest: Ever since Henry Cavill sheathed his silver sword and walked away from Netflix’s The Witcher, fantasy fans have been emotionally homeless. We watched in horror as Geralt went from stoic monster-slayer with literary roots to a broody, plot-confused wanderer in a world barely resembling Sapkowski’s vision. Somewhere between Yennefer’s random power moves and a lore detour so wild that even Roach would’ve thrown a horseshoe, we lost faith.

Henry Cavill in The Witcher and Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in The Last of Us

But wait, like Ellie creeping through clicker-infested ruins, hope has survived. And today, as The Last of Us Season 2 officially drops, it feels like our wounded fandom hearts might finally get their bandage. Why? Because HBO’s adaptation isn’t just “good for a game show.” It’s surgically accurate, emotionally raw, and unapologetically faithful to its source.

Who Is Little Horse? Meet Ciri's Witcher Season 3 Volume 2 Unicorn
Image
The last time we saw Ciri (Freya Allan) in The Witcher Season 3, she was sleeping peacefully in a little cabin in Loxia. Well, we hope she enjoyed her nap — because she’s going to need her strength come Volume 2, premiering July 27. Ciri is headed for the desert and, as an exclusive new clip reveals, she won’t be alone.

"Be Patient With Us": Laurence Fishburne Gives an Eager Update on 'The Witcher' Season 5 Ahead of Season 4 [Exclusive]
Image
Laurence Fishburne is stepping into The Witcher universe — and he's already getting to work. While promoting his new film The Amateur with co-star Rami Malek, Fishburne sat down with Collider’s Steve Weintraub and shared a brief but exciting update about his upcoming role in The Witcher. Fishburne is joining the hit Netflix series as Regis, a hugely popular character from Andrzej Sapkowski’s Witcher novels. Regis — full name Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy — is a higher vampire with a sharp intellect, a mysterious past, and a commitment to abstaining from blood.

He first appears in Baptism of Fire and becomes a vital part of Geralt’s group in later books. Fishburne's casting was officially announced in early 2024, and the veteran actor will bring the character to life opposite Liam Hemsworth, who takes over as Geralt of Rivia in Season 4 from Henry Cavill. When Weintraub asked Fishburne about the progress of the show,...

The Witcher: Netflix Almost Made Just One Movie Before Changing It Into A Hit Multi-Season Series!
Image
The Witcher Netflix (Photo Credit – Netflix)

The Witcher is one of Netflix’s biggest fantasy sensations. The series has attained global popularity with its intricate world, complicated characters, and twisting storylines. But early on, Netflix had a very different plan for it. Instead of making a series, The streaming platform originally believed in turning The Witcher into a single movie. Yes, just one film for all eight books. The idea was examined in 2017 when Netflix first picked up the rights.

The show was based on books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. However, it now has run for three seasons. The series stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allan as Ciri. But before fans got to see Geralt’s world develop on screen, Netflix almost went a very distinct route.

This early plan was dropped when Netflix executives realized the source material was too vast for a movie.

The Academy determined the most worthy films of last year at the 97th Oscars on Sunday. However, the number of awards for these films doesn’t necessarily give us a full picture of the films’ popularity with the audience. New data reveals the most streamed Oscar-nominated films and fans would be surprised to learn that some of the big winners at the Oscars are absent from this list.

Anora was the leading winner of the Oscars night and won five awards, including four wins for director Sean Baker. Adrien Brody’s The Brutalist won three awards, while Emilia Pérez, Dune: Part Two, and Wicked won two awards each.

The final season of The Witcher starts filming, and Ciri is in trouble
Image
The fourth season of The Witcher, Netflix's epic fantasy show based on the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski, will air later this year, with Liam Hemsworth stepping in for Henry Cavill as lead character Geralt of Rivia. And now, Redanian Intelligence reports that filming on the fifth and final season has begun!

Ri reports that shooting has started up in Cape Town, South Africa, which is a popular filming destination for big fantasy shows lately; Netflix's One Piece show and Prime Video's The Wheel of Time series have also filmed there. Things are kicking off with a scene involving Ciri (Freya Allan), the young princess turned witcher-in-training. At the end of season 3, Ciri was warped across the map and had to learn to fend for herself, without the protection of surrogate parents Geralt and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra). Things are going to remain rough for her, I'm afraid. Beware Spoilers below!

When The Witcher first premiered on Netflix, people may have perceived it as just another adaptation that wouldn’t do justice to the source material. Little did they know that Henry Cavill was a huge fan of the story and would do anything to stick to the source. So much so that he chose to leave the show rather than see the story go haywire.

“Pattinson, who attended the premiere giving off Batman vibes (in an all-black ensemble that included a leather coat), arrived early in the night — signing autographs and taking many selfies on his way inside the theater.

The Witcher actors are impressed by Liam Hemsworth stepping into the role of Geralt
Image
Sometime this year, Netflix will drop the fourth season of The Witcher, its ongoing adaptation of author Andrzej Sapkowski's epic fantasy series. This will be a huge year for the show, as Liam Hemsworth will step in as title character Geralt of Rivia, replacing Henry Cavill.

Why did Cavill leave the show three seasons through its proposed five-season run? Experts remain divided, but it's happening. Hemsworth may have a difficult time winning over fans, but he has some prominent supporters in his corner, including Doug Cockle, the voice of Geralt in The Witcher video games. "He's great in all those action films that he's done, isn't he? He is wonderful. So I think he'll bring all that to it," Cockle told Games Radar. "We'll see what he brings to the table. He's a good actor, so I'm really excited to see what he brings."

Still, Cavill is a tough act to follow,...

The Witcher's New Movie Fixes A Big TV Show Problem (That Season 4 Has To Address)
Image
Netflix’s The Witcher is expanding with a new animated movie titled Sirens of the Deep, and its first trailer shows it’s fixing a big problem with the TV show – but season 4 still has to address it. The world of Netflix’s The Witcher has been expanding since 2021 with the animated movie Nightmare of the Wolf, which tells the origin story of Geralt’s mentor, Vesemir (voiced by Theo James). Next was the live-action prequel miniseries Blood Origin, which explores the events that lead to the Conjunction of the Spheres, 1200 years before the events of the main series.

As The Witcher prepares for its fourth season, Netflix will bring the animated movie Sirens of the Deep, directed by Kang Hei Chul. Sirens of the Deep follows Geralt (voiced by Doug Cockle) as he unravels an old conflict between humans and sea people. This conflict threatens war between kingdoms, so Geralt,...

The Witcher season 4 castings hint at flashbacks for Geralt's hansa
Image
Beware Spoilers ahead for The Witcher season 4!

This year, Netflix will debut the fourth season of its monster-hunting fantasy show The Witcher, and new details about what to expect continue to surface. There are a lot of eyes on this season, largely because it will be the first to feature Liam Hemsworth in the lead role as Geralt of Rivia after previous star Henry Cavill stepped down following season 3. But Geralt won't be the only character getting a lot of screentime in season 4; if you've read The Witcher books, you'll know that this is the point in the story where he starts traveling the Continent with his hansa — aka, a fellowship of companions committed to helping him in his quest to find Princess Ciri (Freya Allan).

The Witcher Season 4 Can Be The Best Yennefer Story In Years After Wasting Anya Chalotra For Way Too Long
Image
Warning: potential spoilers for The Witcher season 4 and 5.

The Witcher season 4 will cover some dark storylines after the events of season 3, but it can give Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) her best story after wasting her for too long. Netflix’s The Witcher had a strong start in 2019 with its first season, quickly becoming one of the platform’s most popular titles. However, the changes made to the characters and stories, particularly to Yennefer, drew a lot of backlash during season 2. The Witcher season 3 fixed some of those mistakes, but season 4 now faces even bigger challenges.

The Witcher season 4 will be the debut of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia as well as a new Vesemir. In terms of story, season 4 is expected to go on a darker route, mostly with Ciri (Freya Allan), who’s now part of the Rats. Ciri, Geralt, and Yennefer are also separated once again, but that...

The show has taken too many creative liberties with the characters and stories, and though season 3 fixed some problems, season 4 is facing even bigger ones. In addition to some dark storylines, The Witcher season 4 will be the debut of the new Geralt, Liam Hemsworth.

Vesemir will also go through a recast, and in terms of narrative, Ciri’s (Freya Allan) story is about to get darker now that she’s with the Rats, Emhyr’s plans will be set into motion, and Geralt and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) will face new threats.

I'm Not Ready For Jaskier's Story In The Witcher Season 4
Image
As Netflix continues to prepare for the fourth season of The Witcher, I realize where Jaskier’s (Joey Batey) story will probably lead, and I’m not ready for the heartbreak it might bring. After successfully expanding to video games and other media, Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher book series got its first English-language adaptation thanks to Netflix in 2019. The show’s first season was a big success, but season 2 sparked a lot of controversy due to the changes it made to the characters and their stories, especially to Yennefer (Anya Chalotra).

The Witcher season 3 fixed some of season 2’s mistakes and set up some of the darkest stories for its main characters, but now season 4 is facing some huge challenges. The Witcher season 4 will be the debut of Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt and a new Vesemir, and the events of season 3 will surely bring huge changes to Geralt, Yennefer,...

Every Witcher Who Can Appear In The Witcher Season 4
Image
Netflix is preparing for the fourth season of The Witcher, which is facing the biggest challenges the show has come across so far, but on the brighter side, it’s a new opportunity for more witchers to appear alongside Geralt of Rivia (Liam Hemsworth). The Witcher found great success on Netflix during its first season, but the second season was quite controversial due to the many changes it made to the source material. The Witcher season 2 also introduced new witchers, but these were only minor characters.

The other witchers didn’t return in season 3 and, instead, it focused on the family bond between Geralt, Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), and Ciri (Freya Allan). The Witcher season 3 was also Henry Cavill’s goodbye as he left the show, with Liam Hemsworth being cast as the new Geralt. Season 4 will be Hemsworth’s debut as well as that of the new Vesemir, and it...

The Witcher 4's Ciri Reveal Is A Great Sign For The Netflix Show's Future After Henry Cavill's Recast
Image
The world of The Witcher continues to expand in videogames and TV, and in the former, a big announcement was made regarding The Witcher 4 and Ciri, which is also a good sign for the Netflix show’s future after Henry Cavill’s departure and recast. The world of The Witcher comes from the book series of Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, and it became widely popular when it was adapted into video games. The Witcher got its first English language adaptation in 2019 thanks to Netflix, with Henry Cavill playing the title witcher, Geralt of Rivia.

The Witcher had a strong start on Netflix and was a big hit with critics and general audiences, but season 2 gained a lot of controversy due to the changes it made to the source material. Season 3 fixed some of those mistakes and improved in some parts, but The Witcher couldn’t fully recover. Season 4 is facing...

10 Things You Forgot About The Witcher During the Long Wait for Season 4
Image
It's been almost a year and a half since the conclusion of Netflix's The Witcher Season 3. Season 4 is set to be released sometime in 2025, but there isn't a confirmed date yet. The best guess anyone can come up with is anywhere between July and September. By the time Season 4 rolls out, over two years will have passed since Season 3. Unfortunately, this has become somewhat commonplace for Netflix. Stranger Things has long gaps between each season and so do other incredible series like Wednesday and Squid Game.

To be fair about The Witcher's long hiatus, the show's production has faced a lot of setbacks. The most obvious challenge, of course, is that Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher himself, is being replaced. For the first three seasons, Henry Cavill played Geralt, but the final two seasons will feature Liam Hemsworth in his place. Regardless of the reasons for the delay,...

Dune: Part 2 leads nominations at Saturn Awards, which honor the best in sci-fi and fantasy
Image
The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films has just announced the nominations for the 52nd Annual Saturn Awards, which honor the best in sci-fi and fantasy on TV. All the usual suspects are here: Dune: Part Two walked away with the most nominations at 14, including for Best Science Fiction Film. Denis Villeneuve got a nomination for directing. Stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Josh Brolin, Austin Butler and Rebecca Ferguson all received acting nods. The nominations must flow.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice nabbed 13 nominations. Like, Dune: Part Two, that movie was produced by Warner Bros. Discovery, which got more noms than any other studio. Will that make up for the hot flat flop that was Joker: Folie à Deux? Probably not, but it's nice.

Meanwhile, Deadpool & Wolverine took home 10 nominations. On the TV side of things, the big winner was Amazon's Fallout show, which received five nods: Best Science Fiction Television Series,...

Freya Allan sympathizes With Liam Hemsworth (Photo Credit – Instagram)

The Witcher franchise has enjoyed massive popularity worldwide, be it the books, the games, or the Netflix series. But since Henry Cavill bid the show goodbye after its third season, the fantasy series has been embroiled in questions. Despite Liam Hemsworth replacing him as Geralt of Rivia, the response has been staggeringly against him.

Freya Allan, who plays Cirilla in The Witcher, is quite empathetic towards Hemsworth. During an interview this year, she said she felt sorry for him. Here’s what the 23-year-old actress had to say about the same.

Why Does Freya Allan Feel Sorry For Liam Hemsworth?

The leading trio of The Witcher comprises Geralt, Yennefer, and Cirilla. Allan has played Cirilla since the first season and will continue to star in the final two seasons. Anya Chalotra portrays Yennefer and will also continue to do so. Meanwhile,...

The Witcher Season 4 Is Set To Continue The Show's Biggest Character Complaint With Or Without Henry Cavill
Image
Netflix’s The Witcher is preparing for its fourth season, which is its most challenging one so far, mostly due to its Geralt of Rivia recast, but this season is set to continue one of the show's biggest complaints with or without Henry Cavill. The Witcher had a strong start on Netflix in 2019, becoming one of the platform’s biggest releases, but its second season drew a lot of backlash. The Witcher season 2 made many changes to its source material that affected some of its main characters. Season 3 mostly fixed this problem, but it made way for others.

Thanks to the events of season 3 and its ending, The Witcher season 4 will cover some of the books’ darkest storylines, but it’s also facing other challenges created by the show. The biggest challenge of season 4 is its Geralt recast, as Liam Hemsworth will make his debut as Geralt of Rivia, and...

The Witcher star Graham McTavish promises "seamless transition" from Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth
Image
Netflix's monster-hunting fantasy show The Witcher is in the middle of a very interesting transition. The shows third season marked the final time that actor Henry Cavill will play lead character Geralt of Rivia; when The Witcher returns for season 4, it'll be Liam Hemsworth under the white wig. We're at a point in Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher books where the narrative shifts focus away from Geralt and centers Princess Ciri (Freya Allan) for the back half of the saga as some very weird, multiversal meta elements rise to the forefront. It'll be very curious to see how fans react to these changes when The Witcher season 4 drops on Netflix.

One person who's not particularly concerned is Graham McTavish, who plays the Redanian spymaster Sigismund Dijkstra. McTavish is a seasoned actor who's appeared in tons of genre fare, including Outlander, House of the Dragon, The Hobbit movies, and even the...

'The Witcher' Star Graham McTavish Says Netflix Series Is "Lucky" to Have Liam Hemsworth
Image
The Witcher fans are still desperate to see Liam Hemsworth's Geralt in action. While we anxiously await the first trailer for Season 4 of Netflix's incredibly popular and divisive fantasy adaptation, Graham McTavish promises that even the most die-hard Henry Cavill fans will love Hemsworth's portrayal of Geralt. McTavish plays Sigismund Dijkstra, the Redanian spy in the series, working closely with Henry Cavill in the first three seasons. After Cavill departed from the show following Season 3, Liam Hemsworth stepped in to wield the silver sword.

Speaking to The Nerd Shepherd, Graham McTavish said fans will love Liam Hemsworth's performance, and expressed his thoughts about Netflix replacing Henry Cavill. "I cant really tell you too much about that because they [Netflix] would kill me," when asked for plot details about Season 3. But, the actor didn't hold back in his praise for Hemsworth. McTavish said:

"I can tell you that I worked with Liam Hemsworth,...

Every Actor Confirmed To Be Returning For The Witcher Season 4
Image
The Witcher season 4 doesn't have a release date yet, which is no surprise given how the show has recast its lead role with Liam Hemsworth. Geralt of Rivia's mentor will also look different, as Vesemir's actor also won't be returning due to scheduling conflicts. But according to Netflix, the rest of The Witcher's regular cast will be returning, barring those who died during the climactic end of season 3.

The Witcher season 4 will also be bringing on several new cast members, such as fan-favorite vampire Regis, who will be played by Laurence Fishburne, as well as Danny Woodburn as Geralt's friend, the Dwarf swordsman Zoltan Chivay. With these additions, The Witcher's next outing will have a star-studded cast as the Netflix show reaches a tense point of adapting Andrzej Sapkowski's books.

'The Witcher' Fans Still Have One Reason to Be Excited for the Netflix Show
Image
The Witcher is fighting an uphill battle going into its final two seasons. Die-hard fans have reminded their friends and families that Henry Cavill was the only person to play Geralt of Rivia way too many times, alongside the myriad of other issues facing the loose adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski's novels. But Cavill is gone (he's likely too busy playing Space Marine 2), and Liam Hemsworth is in as the new White Wolf. Some have already written off Hemsworth and Season 4. But he could be the saving grace the show desperately needs.

Why did fans love Henry Cavill so much? As well as being the internet's boyfriend, Cavill was a massive fan of the franchise before joining the show. He had reportedly played The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt a dozen times and dove straight into the novels after that. The Man of Steel star is hailed as the shining...

The Witcher Season 4 Could Give Jaskier His Most Heartbreaking Storyline Yet
Image
The Witcher season 4 is facing big challenges with its Geralt of Rivia and Vesemir recasts along with some dark storylines, and in addition to that, it could give Jaskier his most heartbreaking storyline yet. Netflixs The Witcher quickly became one of the platforms most popular titles, and though it had a great start, season 2 was met with a lot of controversy due to the changes it made to the source material. The Witcher season 3 was an improvement but didnt quite earn the audiences trust back, and this is going to be even more difficult in season 4.

The Witcher season 3 ended with the Thanedd Coup and its immediate aftermath, with Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) forming the Lodge of Sorceresses, Geralt (Henry Cavill) recovering in Brokilon and setting out with Jaskier (Joey Batey) and Milva to find Ciri (Freya Allan), and Ciri being rescued by the Rats, who she ended up joining. The Witcher Season 4 Can Fix the Biggest Problem with the Netflix Show

Quick Links The Witcher Season 4 Faces an Uphill Battle With Fans The Witcher Season 4 Will Need to Be Flawless to Satisfy Fans

Based on the Polish novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher has quickly become one of Netflixs biggest series. The show follows the adventures of Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill) as he navigates a fictional, medieval-inspired world known as the Continent and battles droves of monsters in return for coins. Linked by destiny to Princess Cirilla of Cintra, known as Ciri (Freya Allan), he becomes her protector and de facto adoptive father thanks to an ancient custom known as the Law of Surprise. Powerful in her own right, Ciri possesses abilities no one has seen in centuries. As a result, many across the Continent aim to use her for their own political purposes. Because of this, Geralt enlists the help of a powerful sorceress named Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), who he also happens to love,...

Both Major Characters Recast For The Witcher Season 4 & Why Their Actors Left The Show
Image
Two characters have been recast in The Witcher season 4 after their actors departed the series. This is, of course, a significant hit for the fantasy show, especially following the complaints after season 2 that Netflix had made too many extensive changes to canon. It will be interesting to see how The Witcher will recover, especially since the actors taking over these roles will have large shoes to fill and are facing the challenge of pleasing an existing pool of fans. Recasts are never easy, but audiences are typically even less forgiving when this happens in a franchise like The Witcher.

This Netflix fantasy series is based on the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski, which had already inspired a video game franchise of the same name. So, long before The Witcher season 1 was released, there was an established group of fans ready to defend the stories they love. Unfortunately, The Witcher season 2 failed to impress,...

The Legend of Zelda live-action movie gets disappointing release window update
Image
Last year, it was announced that Nintendo and Arad Productions were in the process of making a live-action movie based on the iconic video game franchise The Legend of Zelda, with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes director Wes Ball at the helm. The Legend of Zelda is a classic fantasy tale where a young swordsman named Link fights the forces of evil to save the Princess Zelda and Kingdom of Hyrule; the details change a bit with each game, but the overall story remains more or less the same. Zelda is a long-running video game series that's been around since the 1986, and its fans are legion. Suffice to say, the announcement of a movie was a big deal.

Now we have a little bit better of an idea of when we'll get to watch it...kind of. The sleuths over at IGN always have their nose to the ground for video game news,...

The Witcher Star Seemingly Confirms Season 4 Filming Wrap
Image
It looks like principal photography on The Witcher Season 4 has concluded. Freya Allan, who portrays Ciri in the Netflix series, has shared a heartfelt post on social media that seemingly suggests that filming has wrapped for the upcoming season.

In an Instagram post, Allan shared hand-drawn illustrations of the actors who portray The Rats in the Netflix series Christelle Elwin, Aggy K. Adams, Ben Radcliffe, Juliette Alexandra, Fabian McCallum, and Connor Crawford. "Mistle, Iskra, Giselher, Reef, Kayleigh, Asse. I love you all. Thank you for the most special season of [The Witcher]," read the caption. While Allan's post doesn't definitively confirm that filming has been completed, its timing aligns with a comment made by new The Witcher lead Liam Hemsworth, who shared at the start of October that there was still about three weeks of filming left on Season 4.

While The Witcher season 4 remains in the production stage, there are still several details about The Witcher season 4 story and cast that can be deduced. The Witcher is based on Andrzej Sapkowskis many novels and short stories, with each season of the show blending together several of the authors works. The third season of The Witcher and Henry Cavill's time playing Geralt concluded in 2023, but there are still plenty of narrative threads from Sapkowskis novels that remain untouched by the show, offering some hints regarding the direction The Witcher season 4 could take.

The Witcher season 4 has been mapped out by the shows writers for a long time, with most of the existing cast returning to continue their character arcs that have been developed throughout the show. Season 4 will focus once again on Geralt of Rivia as he continues his adventures...
