Anca Vaida is a multi-award winning Romanian actress, director and writer based in London, and a BAFTA Connect Member.
She won multiple Best Actress and Best Director awards at International Film Festivals for the TV Series "Psyched!".
Anca's film "Too Important" screened at the Oscar Qualifying Film Festival - Raindance, 2023.
Anca is currently working with Oscar winning producer, Julie Foy, on the TV Series "The Veteran". (2024)
Some of Anca's most notable theatre projects include the play "24 (Day): The Measure of My Dreams" at the Almeida Theatre (London), " Fine and Dandy" at King's Head Theatre (London), "Sorry, My Compassion is on the Blink" at the Pleasance Theatre (London) and the play "Maybe I do" which received an Offie Award Nomination. She can also be heard on BBC Radio 4's "Crossing Continents".
Anca is accredited by the British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat in unarmed, rapier and dagger, quarterstaff, broadsword, sword and shield and small sword combat. She is also experienced in archery and has had firearms training.
Anca is a film judge at the Believe Psychology Film Festival, LA.
Anca combines her acting, directing and writing work with being a doctor working in the National Health Service in London.
