Sary Hany

Egypt-based music producer Sary Hany began his pursuit towards his passion for music when he was only 8. A year later, he was one of the rare talents to perform live on a stage as the lead guitarist of a band while under a decade old. Hungry for more, he moved onto recording guitar lines for distinguished Egyptian musicians. Shortly after, Sary got the golden chance of being recommended to compose the score for a Coca-Cola ad in summer 2005. It was then he created a solid local buzz in the music industry, granting him several briefs for widely acclaimed brand names, such as Pepsi, Vodafone, Cadbury, and Lamborghini. Enamoured with the field, Sary decided to add more music to his life & went forth to revive his musical roots by joining a band called 'Digla'. They performed live shows, recorded original tracks, & even shot their first music video that was later aired on national TV.

In 2009, Sary was asked by JWT to pitch his score for the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism's campaign. Apart from being chosen as the winning composition between international & national music composers, it was a brilliant opportunity to promote his country on a larger scale. Acquiring the musical ropes, Sary's skills grew stronger in many projects where it was mandatory to deliver a diversity of music categories; Electro, Hip-Hop, House, Dub-Step, & everything in between orchestral pieces to modern sounds. Then later in 2010, another aspect was discovered to be successful as well under Sary's creative umbrella, which was composing scores for TV shows. Working for a famous Egyptian series, this experience increased his inspiration for exploring film scores & broadening his studies in this field.

In 2012, Sary's name joined the map of awards when he was inquired to travel to Beirut in order to attend & compose MTC Telecom Company Lebanon's campaign. Accomplishing a phenomenal job, Sary's musical score won 3 awards on both a regional & international level; MENA Crystal, Dubai Lynx, & New York Festival. Early in 2014, Sary took home yet another Cannes Lions award for Du Telecom Company's campaign in UAE.

In November 2014, Sary launched 'Key 66 Productions' the first Music Production House in Egypt! Building a young team of producers, they cover all aspects of the music industry under one roof. With the team came a new Studio that was designed with acoustically standardized interchangeable rooms built up to international standards, fully equipped with state of the art equipment. During 2014, Sary produced the 1st album of the award wining best band in the Middle East, Sharmoofers. The album took 8 months in the making, recorded and produced at Key 66 Productions. Sary also won the pitch for the 2nd time in a row the national and international tourism campaigns by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism. Sary's work on different global campaigns including E-Lites, Du Telecom, Lipton, Vodafone, and many more.

Since 2015 Sary has been working with major companies and advertising agencies, expanding his platform gaining more and more publicity within the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Early in 2016, Sary's music got recognized by a film producer in Berlin and he composed his first score for an international film 'Gaza Surf Club'. In 2017, Sary and his younger brother Hudz, composed the score of an Egyptian Block Buster El Khaleyah directed by Tarek El Erian, Starring Ahmed Ezz and Amina Khalil, not only did he manage to score the film in 3 weeks, his studio and team at Key 66 Productions also did the Sound Design, Foley and ADR of the entire movie.

Sary is working on yet another score for an Egyptian Film Youmeddine directed by Abu Bakr Shawky and producing 2 Albums for Egyptian Super Stars Zap Tharwat and Sherif El Hawary while working on different advertising campaigns for global brands across the Region.
