Loy Te is a Cambodian and French Filmmaker. He founded Kongchak Pictures in 2014, which plays an active role as part of shaping the new Golden Age of cinema in Cambodia.
"Jailbreak" was his first huge success, winning festival awards around the world including Best Action film at Fantasia 2017, and was the first Cambodian film acquired by Netflix for worldwide.
Since then he has been working with aspiring filmmakers to provide training and opportunities for them in Cambodia, with the goal to produce more content for international distribution. This has led to multiple co-productions and other forms of collaborations between Kongchak Pictures and other productions.
