Raised in Brooklyn New York, Michele sang in her elementary school and junior high choirs. She also performed in the hallways of her Flatbush Brooklyn neighborhood - singing and dancing with friends for their parents and other children. After seeing the movie Fame, Michele became determined to get into the High School of Music and Art. Receiving the acceptance letter as a voice major was an unbelievable joy. Michele caught the acting bug as a freshman at Sarah Lawrence College after auditioning for Song Class and entering the Workshop Theatre. It was a fabulous ride that ignited her love of all things theatre. In July 2017 Michele wrote her first short film "Getting Over", which she produced, directed and starred in. Getting Over has become an award winning film on the festival circuit and it is now available on Amazon Prime, Vimeo on Demand and the ON Channel. Michele has received several nominations for Best First Time Director, and has also won several Best Actress awards for her work on Getting Over. In October 2018, Michele wrapped filming her second short film "Acceptables" which premiered in the Big Apple Film Festival (Winter Edition) February 2019. Acceptables will also be screened in the Las Vegas Black Film Festival in April 2019. Besides creating her own work, Michele also continues to audition and work on other people's projects, and can be seen starring as one of the 2 leads in "Troll", an Open Iris Entertainment production, which is premiering in the Garden State Film Festival in March.
