Carson Wentz was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles with the No. 2-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, becoming the franchise's highest-drafted player since QB Donovan McNabb (also second overall) in 1999. A two-year team captain at North Dakota State, Wentz led the Bison to back-to-back NCAA Division I FCS national championships in 2014 and 2015. In his two seasons as a starter, Wentz compiled an impressive 20-3 overall record while logging 4,762 passing yards and 42 passing touchdowns, along with 936 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.

Was a member of five straight NCAA Division I FCS national championship teams (2011-15), including two as a starter in 2014 and 2015. Finished his NDSU career ranked third in school history in career passing yards (5,115), passing touchdowns (45), completions (392), completion percentage (64.1) and passer efficiency rating (153.9).
Despite growing up an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, Wentz idolized former Green Bay Packers legend and 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee QB Brett Favre.
