Manley is a novelist and screenwriter, having graduated with majors in American Studies, and Broadcasting & Film from the University of Iowa, where he was a member of the Writers' Workshop. He is the author of the novels RED TEARS, SUMMER RAIN, WOLF AT THE DOOR, and ORIGINAL WAYS.
Manley is also a music producer, songwriter, and vocalist. He is known for fronting the bands: The Balance, Cut To The Chase, Valve, and The Thunder Group. He also plays a pretty mean bass guitar.
In addition, Manley has worked as a criminal investigator for the Federal Defender's Office; the Office of the Public Defender in a major American city; and for various corporate and private clients.
