Born in Brazil, Salvador 1978. Ricardo met the main character, Meia Lua (Resilience) during his physical teacher education in 2003. Meia Lua was introduced as a inspiration and Ricardo got curious of his self-esteem. They became friends. In a natural way, driven by curiosity and a willing to extend his own self-esteem he documented the everyday life of Meia Lua without any thought of making a documentary.
In 2004 he built up an extension of the Norwegian University in Brazil and coordinated the students of Photo- and journalism.
In 2009 he moved to Sweden, Malmö and got educated in film and media. During the education the idea of the documentary Resilience come alive. He started the production company Koanuka Films & Marketing and he went back several times to Brazil to direct and shoot Resilience. He completed Resilience in Sweden 2016.
To keep on inspiring others to find their sense of value and driving force he educated himself through John Grinder and became a certified NLP Coach. This knowledge he passes on through his web TV Outside Comfort Zone in English and Portuguese (Fora da Zona de Conforto).
