Hank Orion is a director, screenwriter, and producer known for his independent feature films. Born in Western Ukraine, he migrated to Sardinia, Italy, with his mother at the age of 9, where he studied painting. After dropping out of school at the age of 16, Hank left Italy and moved to London, England, to pursue his filmmaking dream. He enrolled at the university, but soon after one term he dropped out and moved to Los Angeles, California. Hank started working as a cinematographer under a pseudonym, shooting mainly music videos, which helped him shape his early style and his ability to work under pressure and with limited resources. Hank returned to England at the age of 24, where he made his directorial debut with Outsiders, followed by Despair and The Job in 2017. In 2020, Hank released a series of filmmaking courses that were a huge success and helped inspire hundreds of independent filmmakers all over the world.
