Gabriela Amerth is a Brazilian actress, singer, and writer from Engenho de Dentro, Rio de Janeiro. She began acting at 11, performing in plays in her hometown before relocating to New York City in 2016.
Navigating the challenges of immigrant life, Gabriela balanced multiple jobs while gaining valuable on-set experience. During this time, she created the micro-short film A N X I E T Y, which garnered festival recognition, including a Grand Jury Prize. Using the prize funds, she launched a successful career as a photographer and videographer and deepened her acting skills by attending the Neighborhood Playhouse Summer Program.
In 2020, Gabriela became a U.S. permanent resident and began auditioning independently. She landed her first role in Elaine Del Valle's SXSW-winning Brownsville Bred, with the feature-length film set to premiere in 2025.
Gabriela also appeared in Música (Amazon Studios), which premiered in 2024 and earned a 2025 Critics Choice Awards nomination. Other notable projects include 'God in the Land of Santa Joana,' 'Epitafio,' and the pilot 'Brides,' set to premiere in 2026.
A character actor rooted in drama but with a soft spot for comedy, Gabriela's versatility is her greatest strength.
