Born in Cairo, Based in Dubai, Ahmed Samy Amin is an accomplished actor, producer, and casting director with a diverse portfolio of work across film, television, and theatre.
As an actor, Ahmed has appeared in notable projects such as Al Mosafer (The Traveler, 2009) by Ahmed Maher, the award-winning short film Kol Al Torok To'aid Ela Roma (All Roads Lead to Rome, 2017) by Hassan Saleh, and the regional hit TV series Abo El Arousa (Father of the Bride, 2017) by Kamal Mansour.
Ahmed expanded his creative repertoire by directing and writing his first short film, The Door (2016), which garnered the Second-Best Film Award and the Best Screenplay Award at The Cairo 48 Hour Film Project.
As a casting director, Ahmed has worked on acclaimed productions such as the TV series Sunset Oasis by Kamla Abu Zekri, the drama Teleat Rohi (Drop Dead Diva), and the feature film Buying A Man by Mohamed Aly, In his role as an assistant director, Ahmed collaborated on the Swedish film Under pyramiden (Under the Pyramid, 2015) directed by the award-winning Axel Petersén.
