Heidi Lasi, president of Pelee Entertainment and an accomplished award-winning writer and producer, is known for her skill in combining financial, creative, and logistical acumen in producing meaningful, transformative, and entertaining content.
Known for mentoring youth and her commitment to community, she is a member of the Youth Media Alliance, Writers Guild of Canada, the Documentary Organization of Canada, Women in Film and Television-Toronto, and the Canadian Media Producers Association. She sits on the Advisory Committee of the Ottawa Film Office.
She is the producer on Know Her Name with director/producer Zainab Muse, executive producers Ngardy Conteh George and Munire Armstrong. She is also the producer of Grandma vs. Chef with producer Katia Sinchenko.
Her slate includes a number of projects including Tom Tyler: A Season of Darkness based on the books written by Maureen Jennings (Murdoch Mysteries (2008)); A Far Cry with writer/director Penny Eizenga and executive producer Jane Loughman); and Drifters, written by Susan Rodgers (Still the Water (2020)), with producers Sharon Buckingham, Emma Fleury Harvey, Sean Buckley, and showrunner Laura Streicher (Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000)).
