Fredrik Backman was born on 2 June 1981 in Brännkyrka, Södermanland, Sweden. He is a producer and writer, known for A Man Called Ove (2015), A Man Called Otto (2022) and Anxious People (2021). He has been married to Neda Shafti Backman since 2009. They have two children.
