Joel DeCandio is a New York-based stage and film actor working primarily in classical theatre and art house cinema. His forthcoming films include Kenya Gillespie's Give (2022) (16 mm), Dominic Mercurio's He Won't Belong, and Barnabas Wilhelm's All the Rest Is Noise (2022) (Germany).
On stage, he has appeared in multiple productions of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tragedy of Cymbeline, as well as The Tempest, Twelfth Night or What You Will, Tennessee Williams' The Rose Tattoo, and The Tragedy of Antony & Cleopatra with the National Theatre of Ghana and artists of Ankara Devlet Tiyatrosu (Turkish State Theatre).
In addition to his work as an actor, he holds a steady place in the Broadway community as a collaborative pianist and coach. His show, We're Gonna Be All Right - Sex, Love & Sondheim, debuted at New York's Green Room 42 in January 2023.
