Patricia Kelly is an IFTA-nominated writer and director, who also produces, edits and acts and she founded MnáMná Films in 2019. Her debut feature film, Verdigris, is nominated for five IFTAs, has won five Best-Film awards to date and is opening and closing festivals in the US and Europe. Her award-winning short films have screened at many international & Irish festivals and been broadcast on TV and her first radio comedy play was broadcast on RTE Radio1.
She is developing a further two feature screenplays and two returnable TV series - including Humdrum, with which she won the 2024 Fís TV Pitching Competition. She has an MA in Screenwriting for Film & TV.
Patricia is passionate about bringing characters not often seen and voices rarely heard to the screen, often concentrating on films that explore social issues. She is a member of the Irish Film and Television Academy, the Writers Guild of Ireland, Directors Guild of Ireland, Screen Producers Ireland and Women in Film and Television Ireland.
