Valentine was represented by Davian Littlefield at the Elite branch of William Morris when he modeled from 1979 through 1981 with Elite in New York from age 22 to 24. Davian sent him on only one audition, for a pilot that never got made.
Valentine took the lead in TV commercials with productions as big as movies for international ad campaigns that marketed preeminent brands, luxury resorts, and high fashion labels when he modeled around the world from 1982 to 1985 in Mexico, Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, London and Paris from age 24 to 28
Valentine moved to West Hollywood in 1987 to pursue movie acting at age 30 but didn't want action and comic book roles so he starred in 2 of his own movies. He first assembled the crew of recently departed legendary filmmaker John Cassavetes to make The Discontented, an art house feature he starred in with John's daughter Zoe (see Valentine's Life & Times, volume 6, Movie Stories).
Valentine co-produced with Bo Harwood, and co-wrote and co-directed with James Eric, acting coach in residence at The Actors Studio on Sunset Strip where Valentine studied privately with Eric. In 1990 Valentine wrote, produced and directed Nailed, a micro budget feature starring Valentine as a car owner who traps a car thief inside his car.
Valentine lived above The Strand in Redondo Beach in the 1990s. He wrote on commission for producers and directors, mostly polishing dialogue, and penned 12 big-budget high-concept spec-scripts. Caught in the "unsolicited" trap, he shopped very few very little.
Valentine moved to South Pointe on Miami Beach where he wrote, produced, directed and starred in back-to-back feature length motion pictures from 2000 to 2005: Romantic Schemer, a romantic comedy in which Valentine masquerades as quadruplets: a lifeguard, a cowboy, an artist and a theater director who tries his characters out on an unsuspecting divorcé he falls for (then she gets him back); and All's Not Fair in Love and War, a dramatic romantic thriller with Valentine as a high-dollar international bounty hunter falling for a CIA agent involved with an Interpol operative who's infiltrated a terrorist cell and has a bounty on his head. VALENTINE wrote, produced, directed and narrates Paparazzi, a feature documentary exposé of the despicable paparazzi and the tabloids.
