Breaking into entertainment as a model at just 4 years old, actress Miya Cech's most significant role is as fan favorite 'Zu' in the 2018 feature film "The Darkest Minds." Starring alongside Mandy Moore and Amandla Stenberg, the film, directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, is an adaptation of the #1 New York Times Best Selling book series of the same title, written by Alexandra Bracken. Originally from Northern California, Cech who now resides in Los Angeles, was adopted as a baby and raised with her 3 siblings, 2 of which were adopted as well. She made her television debut in 2015 as a guest star on the CBS action crime drama "Hawaii Five-0," an experience that prepped her for her burgeoning career. Later that year, Cech guest starred on the Nickelodeon comedy 'The Thundermans" giving her the opportunity to work with her peers and further sharpen her skills within a new genre. In 2016, she landed a role on season six of the FX horror series "American Horror Story: Roanoke," followed by the ABC comedy "American Housewife" in which she played Ali Wong's daughter.
