Rhyming with 'The Don,' Javan Hamilton is an award-winning media producer and motion designer.
Born in New Orleans in 1989, he is a proud godfather of three girls, all of whom belong to a large, lively Louisiana family. He wrote, designed visuals, arranged music and produced for television, all while making excellent grades in college and graduating summa cum laude.
Javan spent his entire childhood making music, producing visual art and creating video parodies of favorites I Love the '80s (2002), Press Your Luck (1983) and Flip (1970), so much so that it often got him in trouble in middle school due to falling grades. As an adult, he worked with and shadowed some of the biggest names in the Baton Rouge media market, getting his start in local television in 2014 through "BRCC Today," a then public-access talk show for Baton Rouge Community College. But after a series of freelance work throughout 2015, he eventually became an integral part of MyScene TV (2007), a long-running entertainment broadcast serving as broadcast designer, co-executive producer, feature journalist and later host.
Until March 2018, Javan served as Production Assistant at NBC/Fox affiliates WVLA Local 33/WGMB Fox 44 (Nexstar Media Group), where his design work and feature stories were seen across all newscasts. He would later spend four years in the Houston, Texas, where he hosted the 12-part web series This Is Houston (2018) for the Houston Live TV Network, and produced "The Don Davis Real Estate Show" on YouTube. Today, he continues to produce for various organizations, and was the winner of the 2021 Silver Telly Award for "MyScene TV" (Television - Craft-Use of Live Video / Broadcast).
Javan current serves as Senior Video Producer for a major political party, and in 2023, formally launched The Travel Series on YouTube, "Birdwatching," "Trainspotting" and "Vibes," which explores air and rail travel through tours and ambient videos.
