- Marie O'Riordan started her media career on national radio in Ireland aged 13. She was 14 when she first started to appear on national television on various children's shows such as Scratch Saturday and Jo Maxi. Marie was the overall winner of the 1990 Sony RTÉ National Television Short Film Award on December 22nd 1990 for Elaine in Wonderland (1990) which she directed, wrote and starred in alongside members of her family and friends. She has had a long spanning media career and has presented and been senior producer for award nominated radio talk shows in Ireland. She has been a broadcast news journalist since 1994 and an accomplished documentary maker in the third world in Calcutta, now Kolkata, India with the late Nobel Peace Prize winner Mother Teresa in 1997 and Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya in Africa in 2006. She has appeared on international television since 1995.
