Madeleine Hyland

Madeleine Hyland was raised in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Manchester, and Aotearoa NZ. She is an actress, singer, and writer based in London, UK. She has dual UK/Aotearoa NZ nationality.
She has appeared in numerous theatre productions across the UK, US, and Aotearoa including the Royal Shakespeare Company's Olivier and Tony award-winning Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies, which played the West End and Broadway, and has toured the USA playing Hamlet.
She is a skilled dancer, having grown up training in ballet and contemporary. She began singing in jazz clubs in London before recording with Dexys as a guest vocalist, featuring on their 2012 album One Day I'm Going to Soar, which also toured worldwide.
Madeleine and Joey Batey formed their alt-folk band The Amazing Devil together during their time at the RSC. They released their debut album Love Run in 2016, their second album The Horror and the Wild in 2020, and their third album Ruin in 2021.
