Mrunal Thakur is an Indian actress who has worked in Indian, Telugu, and Marathi films. During her formative years, she received her education at St. Joseph's Convent School in Jalgaon, followed by Vasant Vihar High School and Junior College in Mumbai.

Mrunal's journey to become an actor began through the medium of television, which launched her acting career. In 2012, she starred in the TV show Mujhse Kuchh Kehti... Yeh Khamoshiyaan (2012), which aired on Star Plus. Following this, she appeared in a few episodes of another Star Plus TV show, Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek - Arjun (2012).

Thakur's next venture on TV was Kumkum Bhagya (2014), a soap opera that aired on Zee TV. Her role in Kumkum Bhagya won Thakur the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Indian Television Academy Awards in 2015.

Thakur made her debut on the sports reality TV show Box Cricket League (2014) as a member of the Mumbai Warriors team. In the second season (2016), she switched to the Chennai Swaggers. She also participated in the seventh season of the dance reality TV series Nach Baliye (2005).

Thakur first graced the big screen with her performance in the Marathi film, Vitti Dandu (2014). Soon after, she took on a role in another Marathi production, Surajya (2014). Her foray into Hindi films began with Tabrez Noorani's Love Sonia (2018). In the film, Thakur played the lead character in a story about the devastating reality of human trafficking.

In her next film, Super 30 (2019) Thakur was cast opposite Hrithik Roshan. The movie was a major success at the box office, earning Rs. 208 crores worldwide. Later in the same year, she appeared opposite John Abraham in the action - packed thriller Batla House (2019).

Thakur continued to showcase her versatility as an actress in a range of films, including Ghost Stories (2020), Toofaan (2021), and Dhamaka (2021), all of which were released on OTT.

Thakur's next big-screen appearance was in the film Jersey (2022), co-starring Shahid Kapoor. The film was widely praised for its outstanding direction, powerful performances, and memorable soundtrack. Thakur made her debut in the Telugu film industry with the romantic drama Sita Ramam (2022), which was received with enthusiasm by both audiences and critics, leading to its commercial success at the box office.
