An award winning Actor, Filmmaker & BBC Radio presenter who started his career on YouTube before hitting the big screens. Islah successfully produced and directed three comedy series 'Mandem On The Wall' & 'Corner Shop Show' & 'The Halalians'. All which transitioned onto both Television & screening in Cinema. His directing talents lead him to co-direct Channel 4's 'Brad Boys' whilst his acting career has taken him to star in well known productions such as 'Men In Black: International' (Sony Pictures), 'Man Like Mobeen' (BBC / Netflix), 'Make Me Famous '(BBC), Too Close (ITV) & 'Mood' (BBC). Islah's versatility graced the biggest stages around the UK such as Hackney Empire and in various theatre productions on tour including 'The Great Muslim Pantomime'.
After the success of the 'Corner Shop' series, he launched his online entertainment platform 'The Corner Shop Network', to showcase positive ethnic representation. He's an activist for human rights and spends time working on his family 'The Al-Ansari Foundation' to help the less fortunate in Zanzibar, Africa. As a positive role model for the youth, he co-manages the Compound Newham Street Gym reducing the impact of knife crime, gang violence and help young people find solace in health & fitness.
