The entertainment world is discovering comedienne and voiceover artist Sevans Martinez. An improv and comedy performer and fun, fearless, quirky personality, it was Martinez's Midwest upbringing and encouraging parents that led to her love of performing.
Sevans' journey began in Wichita, Kansas. As a small child, she began taking ballet and piano, creating a spark for knowledge and a love of performing. She continued to dance in ballets and perform in musical theater throughout her upbringing. The outgoing, yet awkward, highly intelligent Sevans survived high school at Wichita Heights High School by performing in community theater, dinner theaters and in high school shows. A natural talent, she attended the University of Mississippi and received her B.F.A. in musical theater. It was during this amazing, but tumultuous time in college that she was introduced to improv and discovered her talent for physical comedy.
Sevans came to New York City to further her career. She immediately started working consistently in Shakespearean shows. She missed improv and performing short form comedy so it was also at this time that she cast Say What? NYC Comedy Improv. She still continues to work as the group's director and performs. Soon, Sevans made the jump to work in film, television and commercials. She now spends her time as a voiceover artist and commercial/film/TV actress. However, when the stage calls, she can't help but be drawn back to the boards.
