World Premiere for "Dumpster Fire" at the Culver City Film Festival
Excited to share one of the many new reels! Grateful for the experiences and growth over the years. With my ten-year anniversary as a director coming up, not including the one year of filmmaking and directing in a high school class that introduced me to this passion, I am looking forward to what is ahead. Every project brings new challenges and opportunities to collaborate with incredible creatives. This reel features some of my most meaningful projects, including the feature films The Extraordinary Ordinary and Howard Original, along with several short films and sizzles. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. Visit my website to learn more: https://linktr.ee/extraordpictures! Natalie Rodriguez is an award-winning director, screenwriter, author, and mental health advocate based in Los Angeles. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Radio-Television-Film. Early in her career, she gained valuable experience through internships at The Conan O'Brien Show and Mandalay Pictures, working alongside producers Jennifer Berman, Matthew Rhodes, Cathy Schulman, and David Zelon.

As a featured panelist, Natalie has shared her insights at events hosted by Google, Hispanicize, L.A. Comic Con, Ontario Revolution Con, and YouTube. Her writing has been published in outlets such as HuffPost, Thrive Global, Anxiety Resource Center, NowThis News, Hello Giggles, and The Mighty.

In 2017, Natalie founded Extraordinary Pictures, a production company focused on creating films, television, digital series, and projects addressing social issues. Her first feature films, The Extraordinary Ordinary and Howard Original, began as short films and were showcased at numerous festivals. Both films are now available on streaming platforms like Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Roku, and Tubi.

Natalie's screenplays and films have earned recognition at notable festivals, including HollyShorts, Newport Beach, NALIP: Latino Lens, Shorts TV, Stage 32 Comedy Screenplay Contest, Beverly Hills Film Festival, and Table Read My Screenplay - Austin Film Festival.

During the pandemic, she published her young adult thriller book series Elephant, which was a finalist in Clare Books' The Binge-Watching Cure II contest for 'Best Novel.' The series includes Skeletons and is part of a wider slate of books, including the final Elephant installment, Dysfunctional, and a children's book series, Matty Cat, which has been adapted into short films. She also transformed The Extraordinary Ordinary into a New Adult novel, available in eBook and paperback formats.

Most recently, Natalie adapted her feature screenplay, Inner Child, into a book. Her short film Matty Cat is available online, and its holiday-themed sequel, Merry Christmas, Matty Cat, as well as the third installment, You're Irreplaceable, Matty Cat, are screening at film festivals. Additionally, her dark comedy Dumpster Fire, inspired by FX's The Bear, is also showing at festivals.

Natalie has several projects in development and in the early stages of pre-production, including Hair Flip, Hello, Stranger, and Inner Child, all of which she wrote, will produce, and direct. She is currently pitching Dysfunctional, the Matty Cat book series, and the Inner Child book adaptation to literary agents for representation and publication.

In her free time, Natalie enjoys reading, listening to podcasts, and watching horror and independent films. She is an active member of the comic and horror convention communities. For updates on her latest work, visit her social media at linktr.ee/extraordpictures.
